The WPWVC/ACRL Program Committee is accepting proposals for our Spring Conference program, Transforming Our Libraries, at Seton Hill University (Greensburg, Pa.) on Friday, June 10, 2016.

Types of sessions:
In-depth presentations (45 minutes)
Lightning round talks (10 minutes)
Posters – by graduate students only

Last year the American Library Association launched the Libraries Transform initiative to increase public awareness of the way libraries adapt to best serve their users and to highlight the critical role that libraries play in the digital age. As technologies have advanced and evolved, many institutions have added new services, modified policies, and rethought library culture to expand libraries beyond the traditional “place to find a book” or “quiet place to study.” ALA has identified some major transformative trends – has your library tried anything new in these areas or others?

The WPWVC/ACRL Spring Conference is an opportunity to share transformation at your institution, in your workflows, or in any way that better meets the needs of users. Have you leveraged new technologies? Have you introduced new services? Is there evidence of change at your library? Share the details with your peers in a 45-minute presentation or give a brief overview in a lightning round talk. Student presenters are invited to participate in the poster session.

While proposals related to the program theme will receive a higher priority, all topics related to academic libraries are welcomed and encouraged.

Please submit a proposal (max. 150 words) at http://tinyurl.com/Spring16CFP by March 18, 2016.

Notifications of acceptance will be made after a blind peer-review process. All selected presenters will receive a reduced conference registration rate. Questions about presentations and submissions may be directed to the Program Committee at program.wpwv.chapter@gmail.com.
